Diarmuid Kelly was appointed Chief Executive of PIBA in March 2001 but was involved in PIBA as company secretary since 1996 and has played a key role in the development of the Association. Before his appointment as Chief Executive, Diarmuid worked in a family-run Life and Pensions Brokerage in Dublin. Diarmuid is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin and UCD where he obtained a Masters Degree in Economics. Diarmuid is a QFA and is currently studying for the Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning.

Rachel Doyle   Email Rachel
Chief Operations Officer

Rachel Doyle joined PIBA in December 2000 and currently holds the position of Chief Operations Officer. Rachel studied in the Institute of Technology in Carlow and previously worked with the Pensions Board and Citibank before joining PIBA. Rachel has completed the QFA, FLIA, LIA Mortgage Diploma and the Insurance Institutes Foundation Certificate. Rachel has completed her Joint Financial Services Diploma through the LIA.

Rachel also holds a Diploma in Human Resources Management awarded by Dublin Business School and the ICM and a Certificate in Training Practice awarded by CIPD.

Edel Morey   Email Edel
Public Relations & Events Manager

Edel, a native of Cork moved to Dublin in January 2006 where she began her career in PIBA as a Research and Administration Assistant. She assumed the position of Compliance Manager in July 2006. Edel now holds the role of P.R, & Events Manager.

Edel is a graduate of University College of Cork where she obtained a BComm (Honours) degree. Edel is a QFA and also holds a professional marketing qualification awarded by the Marketing Institute of Ireland and a postgraduate P.R. and events diploma awarded by the Public Relations Institute of Ireland. She has a keen interest in the Irish language and traveling having spent over a year in Australia, New Zealand and Asia before joining PIBA.

Elizabeth Smith Wright  Email Elizabeth
Compliance Manager

Elizabeth joined PIBA in October 2008 and currently holds the position of Compliance Manager. She previously worked in EBS and Zurich.

Elizabeth graduated from University College Dublin with a BA Hons degree in Economics & History and from DIT Aungier St. with a Postgraduate in Legal Studies. She has completed the ACOI Professional Diploma and also holds the QFA qualification.

David Holton   Email David
Research and Administration Assistant (General Insurance)

David started his career in PIBA in July 2008 and is currently holding the position of Research and Administration Assistant. David is a graduate of The Institute of Art, Design & Technology where he obtained a Bachelor of Business (Honours) Degree in Business and Entrepreneurship. David is currently studying for his QFA qualification.

Aine Whelan   Email Aine
Research and Administration Assistant (Compliance)

Áine joined PIBA in February 2010 and currently holds the position of Research and Administration Assistant Compliance. Áine graduated from the University of Limerick with a Honours Bachelor Degree in International Insurance and European Studies. She previously worked in Aviva. Áine has completed both the ACII and ACOI Professional Diploma.

Accounts/Admin Assistant

Audrey joined PIBA in September 2011 and currently holds the position of Accounts / Admin Assistant.

She is a member of the Accounting Technicians Ireland and has successfully completed the IATI exams this year becoming a qualified Accounts Technician

Research and Administration Assistant(Compliance Unit)

Sarah joined PIBA in April 2012 and currently holds the position of Research and Administration Assistant Compliance. Sarah graduated from the National University of Ireland, Maynooth with an Honours Bachelor Degree in Business Management.
