Welcome to PIBA

PIBA aims to help members to practically comply with all Legislation & Compliance obligations.

PIBA has 3 dedicated compliance staff that are there to assist and support members in keeping abreast with legislative and industry developments.

They are there to help by providing:

  • An overview of the current regulatory requirements and guidance on how to implement rules & regulation.
  • Access to a continuously updated online Compliance Manual, which outlines Brokers regulatory requirements and provides certain template documents.
  • A Review facility, whereby, Members 'Terms of Business' and other relevant documents can be reviewed by the Compliance unit.
  • Assistance with member's individual Compliance queries. The unit can also liaise with the Central Bank of Ireland on broker issues.

The compliance and legislation function in PIBA also represents the Broker Community's concerns through lobbying and making submissions to relevant parties such as the Central Bank of Ireland, The Department of Finance etc.
